Kek Seri Kaya Sarawak / Sarawak Seri Kaya Cake

Buat Angie, terima kasih kerana sudi bertanyakan resepi Kek Seri Kaya Sarawak. 

Actually, I haven't tried this recipe yet. Honestly, never done it before...hehe. And not really sure if it's the one you're looking for. I took this recipe from myresipi.com since I don't have it here. Anyhow, hope it helps you ya.

Kek Seri Kaya Sarawak

Bahan-bahan :

  • 200g horlick 
  • 350g butter 
  • 100g gula 
  • 3 sudu besar gula hitam karamel (browning sugar)
  • 240g serikaya 
  • 10 biji telur ayam (asingkan telur putih & telur kuning) 
  • 250g tepung kek 
  • 50g tepung susu 
  • 2 sudu kecil double action baking powder & secubit baking soda 
Cara-cara:

    1. Pukul butter & gula sampai kembang.
    2. Pukul telur kuning & tambah serikaya & gula hitam & gaul sebati. Masukkan ke dlm No.1
    3. Pukul telur putih sampai 'stiff' & masukkan ke dlm No. 2.
    4. Sieve semua bahan kering & masukkan ke dlm No. 3, gaul rata.
    5. Masukkan ke dlm acuan 10 in & tutup muka kek dgn aluminium foil & stim selama 1 jam 45 minit.
    6. Selepas masak, Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed & biarkan sejuk.

    Sarawak Serikaya Cake

    (Makes 8" round/square)
    INGREDIENTS:
    • 8 oz Butter
    • 160g Caster Sugar
    • 5 Eggs
    • 1 tsp Ovalet
    • 150g Serikaya
    • 200g Condensed Milk
    • 1 tin (170g) Nestle Cream
    • 1 tsp Essence Vanilla
    • 1 bottle (80-100g) Browning
    • 150g Chocolate Horlicks (I used plain)
    • 175g Plain Flour

    METHOD:
    1. Beat butter & sugar until fluffy.
    Add in egg one by one while beating.

    Add in the rest of the ingredients in the order while beating.

    2. Pour into greased & lined tin.
    Steam for 4 hours.

    3. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds if preferred (I skipped) while cake is hot.
